  • With upgrade of 8SFF Cage/Bkpln (662883-B21), there is no Optical Drive support.
  • All cables necessary for proper installation of the 8SFF Cage are included with this Kit.
  • With upgrade of 8SFF Cage/Bkpln (662883-B21), an additional storage controller is required. HP recommends the HP Smart Array P420/1GB FBWC 6Gb 2- ports Int SAS Controller (P/N 631670-B21).
  • The P822 controller has only two internal ports like the P420 controller and cannot be used to attach both 8SFF drive cages through a single controller. Please see the QuickSpecs for Technical Specifications and additional information: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14341_div/14341_div.html
  • In Gen8, the 8+8SFF solution is designed as a performance configuration delivering maximum IOPS across the two drive cages. Customers seeking to have all drives in a single volume should consider the DL380p Gen8 25 SFF Configure-to-order Server (P/N 665554-B21) as a base.
