Compatibility & limits

  • If the HPE DL380 Gen12 x16/x16/x16 Cable Kit (P76471-B21) is not selected, only Slot 2 and Slot 3 are available for PCIe card selection.
  • To enable Slot 1, select Qty 2 × P76471-B21 (HPE DL380 Gen12 x16/x16/x16 Cable Kit) and the associated trigger SKU P78117-B21.
  • Up to one Primary Riser can be selected per server.

How it differs

  • The P48803-B21 slots 1, 2 and 3 are on Proc 1, while the P51083-B21 slots 5 and 6 are on Proc 2.

Description

Primary riser

The primary riser provides the PCIe slots connected to the first processor.

The first expansion cards, such as a PCIe controller and a network card, are installed on this riser.

The slots are available without needing the second processor.
