  • CTO Server models do not include embedded LOM. To enable networking capability please select a validated alternative NIC -OCP or PCIe- from the Core Options section.

Compatibility & limits

  • For SFF CTO Server configurations, the Universal Media Bay Kit (P74749-B21) and the Optical Disk Drive USB to SATA Signal Cable Kit (P72199-B21) are required when an internal optical drive is selected.

How it differs

  • P73282-B21 has Fans: 4-Standard, while P73284-B21 and P73286-B21 have Fans: 6-Standard.
  • P73282-B21 lists P75741-B21 among its front drive cage options, while P73285-B21 includes Qty-2 of 4LFF front drive cages.

Description

Base with SFF cage (2.5-inch drives)

A chassis with SFF (Small Form Factor) front bays that accepts 2.5-inch HDDs, SSDs and, with a suitable backplane, NVMe drives.

SFF provides more drive density in the same chassis height and is better suited to IOPS-sensitive workloads.

It allows arrays with more drives, higher random performance and a mix of SSD and HDD.
