2U HPR HSK

Heat sink

Dell option (no published part number)

Heat sink: 2U HPR HSK | Processor TDP: 125 W–250 W (supports 3.5-inch drives and non-GPU configuration)

Verified in 1 active model(s): Dell PowerEdge R760

Description

High-performance heatsink

The high-performance heatsink has a larger heat-exchange surface or heat pipes and is designed for high-power processors.

High-TDP processors, configurations with GPUs and chassis full of drives produce more heat than a standard heatsink can remove.

The processor stays at maximum sustained performance without heat-related frequency reduction.

  • Incompatible: 2U HPR HSK and DLC are incompatible. Dell documents air cooling and liquid cooling (DLC) as separate whole-system configurations; a DLC module on one processor with an air heat sink (STD, 2U HPR or L-type) on the other is not documented.
  • Incompatible: 2U HPR HSK and A40 are incompatible. The 2U HPR heat sink is for non-GPU configurations; all GPU cards require the 1U L-type heat sink.
  • Incompatible: 2U HPR HSK and Intel PVC are incompatible. The 2U HPR heat sink is for non-GPU configurations; all GPU cards require the 1U L-type heat sink.
  • Incompatible: 2U HPR HSK and A100 80 GB are incompatible. The 2U HPR heat sink is for non-GPU configurations; all GPU cards require the 1U L-type heat sink.
  • Incompatible: 2U HPR HSK and 9480 are incompatible. With 3.5-inch drives the 2U HPR heat sink supports 125 W-250 W processors.
  • Requires: 9480 requires 2U HPR HSK. Select one heat sink (STD, 2U HPR or L-type per the heat sink matrix) or the DLC module per processor.
