Description

NVMe drive cage

An NVMe cage with its dedicated backplane connects 2.5-inch NVMe SSD bays to PCIe lanes.

It is used to add very fast, low-latency storage in SFF chassis.

Storage IOPS and bandwidth become several times those of SAS/SATA cages.
