  • After completing your Smart Chassis configuration, set the Smart Chassis quantity to 1. OCA will automatically select the required cables, which will appear under Storage Devices (Step 5) > Internal Storage Controller Cables.
  • No manual cable selection is required.
  • Converts Box 1 into the Universal Media Bay, adding support for front Display Port, two front USB 2.0 ports, an internal optical drive, and the optional front 2SFF cage.
  • Available with SFF CTO Server model only.

Compatibility & limits

  • For SFF CTO Server configurations, the Universal Media Bay Kit (P74749-B21), and the Optical Disk Drive USB to SATA Signal Cable Kit (P72199-B21), are required when an internal optical drive is selected.

Description

Universal Media Bay

The Media Bay is a bay at the front of the chassis that, depending on the selected kit, can hold an optical drive, front ports or several SFF drive bays.

In chassis with this bay you can choose between an optical drive and extra drives.

It gives flexibility in using the front of the chassis for more storage or accessories.
